How safe are the rides?

Intro
Ok, moving on, I am going to talk about the safety of the rides in SG. Examples like all those thrilling stuffs you see at the Escape Theme Park....blablabla

Different types of rides
Sentosa Luge & Skyride

The Luge is like a cart, that you sit in and move down a slope.... something like that. For the skyride, those afraid of heights may find the chairlift ride scary as it is akin to sitting on a bench floating 320m above the ground. While on the ride, if there is a sudden power failure, a back-up diesel-powered motor will be used to restart the ride.

SG Cable Car

It can carry 6 passengers in one car. It carrys up to a height of 93m above sea lv and travels over 1.5km. In case of emergency, I don't know, because they says it is confidential. There was one accident, where an oil drilling ship snagged the cableway causing 7 death and 13 other people were suspended until they were rescued by armed forces in the helicopters.

G-Max reverse Bungy

Up to three people are strapped into an open steel cage suspended between two bungee cords and catapulted 12 storeys high at a speed of 200km/h. There was an accident in 1998, a man in Canada fell out of the steel cage in mid-air and plunged to his death.

Zovb

This activity involves rolling down a hill while strapped inside a giant inflatable ball. The good thing is that this activity so far does not have anything mishaps.

Forest Adventure

Photo obtained from http://keropokman.blogspot.com/2008_05_01_archive.html
This is a treetop adventure course in Bedok Reservoir Park, akin to an aerial runway 9m above the ground. Before the activity starts, there will be a 30mins briefing on the safety to take note of during the activity.

Tiger Sky Tower

Photo obtained from http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3067/2769247009_97243a5c11.jpg
It is a 110m tall tower in Sentosa, which offers view of SG, Malaysia and Indonesia. It is able to take up to 72 people at a time. The people are enclosed in a cabin that revolves up the tower in seven minutes. A standby power generator can be used in case of a power failure. An SCDF specialist rescue team will also be deployed. First aid kit and bottled water are kept inside the cabin. There is also a staff member on board to contact with the operations and maintenance teams in case of emergency.

Conclusion
Well despite all the fun and thrilling games that exist, adequate measures must be taken to ensure the safety of the people.
